Economic development in the sense of providing additional commerce and tourist dollars to local businesses, opportunity in the sense of creating enhanced networks to promote Brevard County as a great place to live, work and visit.
Port yields intangible economic benefits that Help sustain long term economic growth.
An efficient and economically viable Port is essential to the long run economic vitality of Brevard County.

Captain Chuck Sheridan - Bio, Family and Experience
My name is Captain Chuck Sheridan and I am seeking your vote in the coming election for “Canaveral Port Authority District 4”

As your Port Commissioner my decisions will be guided by my unique hands on Experience in Real Estate Development, Government Board Experience, A Merchant Marine Captain and Executive with several Florida Business. I will remain committed in my decision making on what is in the best interest of the residents of Brevard County. I understand how important Port Canaveral is to our everyday lives.
The following is a brief synopsis of my unique experience:
• Over 35 years in Real Estate Development
• Licensed General Contractor 1980- Present,
• Merchant Marine Master Captain (licensed by the United States Coast Guard)
• Chairman Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board (appointed by Governor Jeb Bush in 2001)
• Chairmen Continuing Education Committee with the Department of Business and Professional regulations for the BCAIB
• Board Member on the Governors Construction Education Council
• Executive with Several Florida Business
• Husband, Father and a lifelong resident of Brevard County
